Hello sailors,
If you missed last week’s episode of Dockside with Deb, I interviewed a panel of people who are giving back to their community through sailing. One of those was David Pescud, Founder of the Making Waves Foundation. They are currently raffling a Lexus to raise much needed funds for their organisation; if you’d like to show your support (or win a Lexus) you can enter here.
Tonight on Dockside with Deb I’m interviewing Greg Dziemidowicz who is one of the co-founders of MarineVerse, a virtual reality sailing program that lets you try sailing from the comfort of your home. We’ll kick off tonight at 7:00pm AEST – click here to register to attend and join the conversation.
Tonight we will also be doing something a little different. After the end of the session those who would like to join in for an online sail can join us using MarineVerse’s free online program Pancake sailor. Click here to find out more and download the required software for this session.
Lastly, if you’re stuck at home due to COVID-19 (or any reason) and would like to spend this time to up-skill for your next sailing adventure, I highly recommend you check out the ORCV Weather for Sailors courses.
That’s all for this week!
Until next week, happy sailing 😊⛵
