Nick is now Commercial Director at Usafe Global (creating some pretty cool life saving devices) and part of the Bar Karate podcast team. Some sad news out of Queensland Monday, with a man reported to have fallen overboard and the the air and water search to find him unsuccessful. The Queensland Police has said the 54 year old was not wearing a lifejacket when he fell overboard on Saturday.
The NOR for the 2020 Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race has been released; the first AC75 racing yacht built for New York Yacht Club American Magic has arrived in New Zealand ahead of the 36th America’s Cup; and more sailing news below.

America’s Cup: U.S. Challenge Arrives in New Zealand
Auckland, New Zealand (June 29, 2020) – Defiant, the first AC75 racing yacht built for New York Yacht Club American Magic, Challenger for the 36th America’s Cup, has arrived in New Zealand. The AC75 was shipped through the Gulf of Mexico, transited the Panama Canal and then crossed the Pacific after departing from the team’s winter base in Pensacola, Florida on May 28.
