G’day sailors,

Emirates Team New Zealand was crowned the winner of the 36th America’s Cup after scoring the required points on day 7 of the event.

It’s been a very wet and windy few days on the east coast of Australia. So much so that Cows have been washing up on beaches in the state, and the amount of dangerous floating debris off the cost has forced the cancellation of the upcoming Club Marine Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Yacht Race. With gale force winds and once-in-a-100-year rains falling across much of the state, I expect quite a few other races were cancelled over the weekend as well.

Enjoy reading the latest sailing news and stories.

Until next week, happy sailing
