Hello sailors,
It’s a week of winners, with Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli winning the Prada Cup semi-final to claim their place in the upcoming Prada Cup final against INEOS Team UK. The ninth edition of the Vendée Globe has been won by 48-year-old French skipper Maître Coq IV.
The 2021 Bay of Islands Race Week wrapped up last weekend with Menace winning New Zealand’s first Melges 40 class one-design racing event.
If you have made an outstanding achievement in offshore racing in 2020 you could also be a winner; the CYCA has opened nominations for the 2020 Ocean Racer of the Year Awards.
Check out these stories and more news from the sailing world below.
Until next week, happy sailing 🙂⛵
