MySail Sail Racing News - Sailing & Yachting News From Around The Web

G’day sailors,

I can’t believe it’s already June! Where has this year gone? Things are cooling down in the southern hemisphere, but it looks like we will get a bit of a (modified) winter sailing season. As things cool off down under, they’re warming up in the northern hemisphere where many places also seem to be opening back up, and to varying degrees allowing sailors back out on the water.

Where ever you are, I hope you’re getting out and enjoying what I’m sure is a much anticipated sail!

If you’re looking for some inspiration, join me tonight on Dockside with Deb for an interview with seasoned offshore sailor and two-time Volvo Ocean Race competitor Stacey Jackson. Click here to register for this free weekly event.

With sailing starting to open back up, if you would like to get your yacht club’s races and events in the MySail event listing page, send an email to hello@mysail.team so we can help you out.

Until next week, happy sailing 😊⛵

Safety of Life at Sea

That there was a collision in the 2017-18 Volvo Ocean Race offshore China was not a shocker. Ever since this crewed offshore event had included Asia in its course, conflict with commercial traffic was the norm. Same goes for the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. On an AIS map, it’s hard to see the water between the dots.
